Plearn Chocolate Cafe & Restaurant
Rayong

The owner of the project has a land of 4 rai in a rectangular shape. There is a large pond at the front entrance, next to the building that used to be a restaurant. At the back of the building, the owner has planted cocoa trees in a long line deep to the end of the land line. The cocoa beans that are grown here, the owner use them to produce chocolate, which leads to the need to renovate the former building that used to be a restaurant into a café and needs a space to teach chocolate making to customers who are interested in learning.

The existing building is a one-story building in a rectangular shape. The front is facing the pond. Behind the building, there is a view of the cocoa trees and a beautiful green rice field from the adjacent land. The design of the building is oriented from the entrance of the building to a corridor parallel to the pond and directly to the entrance of the building. The central court that serves to connect the existing building with the new building that has been designed as both a restaurant and a classroom for making chocolate as well as various workshops.

As for the existing building, a cocoa bean storage room has been set up at the entrance as a glass room for customers to watch chocolate machinery and the craft of making chocolate that use to make a drink in the cafe.

The interior of the café uses green and brown tones. The beverage counter is designed in the shape of a chocolate bar with a rectangular grid arranged in rows to create the atmosphere of a chocolate drink café. Beech colored furniture makes it feel warm and harmonious with the interior of the café.
