Café Amazon is one of the supplementary business building that designed by DFAP Architect – the firm that won the competition. The design concept is adaptative of Lanna Vernacular Architecture in modern construction. A stacked hip-roof has been designed to reduce the scale of the roof so that it doesn’t look too big. The open space between each layer of the roof uses to capture natural light and transfers it into the room space for energy saving and to create a beautiful ambience.

The building structure is a steel frame with heat reflecting ceramic roof tiles and artificial wood battens ceiling. The outdoor terrace is using real wood flooring. The entrance of the building has a garden, a fish pond, and a wheelchair access ramp for disabled customers. The store signage has been designed with Lanna Thai alphabet to create a local identitiy.
