The project owner wants to expand his steel business and warehouses in various provinces in Northeastern of Thailand. There are two existing branches in Surin and Buriram provinces. The new branches will be in Mahasarakam and Si sa ket province.
The steel shop and warehouse in Mahasarakam locates close to the intersection near the city center, which is easy to see from the street. The steel shop is situated in the front and the warehouse is situated on the back of the property.
The design concept of office buildings is to reflect the steel industry business to mark a brand stick in customers’ memories. The floor plan has been designed using the outline of steel tubes that locate on the shelfs, which can be seen in any steel shops. The front entrance hall has a double space and divided space into three different boxes. These spaces are used for meeting or business negotiation with clients. The ground floor consists of sale, accounting and administrative departments. The second floor consists of the owner’s office and a meeting room that connecting to the double space on the front entrance hall.
The front entrance hall is designed to Double Space and is divided into three boxes of Space. The space is arranged into a conference table or to negotiate steel trading with the customer. The ground floor area is also comprised of sales department, accounting department and General Administration. The 2nd floor has its own work room and meeting room with a Double space on the front hall.
The front façade has been designed using steel tubes and perforate to prevent sunlight and reduce solar heating in the east. These steels components on the front façade of the building is reflecting the steel business. The function of the warehouse is designed considering the traffic of transporters and different size of steels for effective use of spaces.
